Dimitrios-Rafail Marsitopoulos, born in 2006, is a young Greek artist and architecture student at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), originally from Larissa. He has developed a strong background in illustration, comics, character design and visual storytelling, earning numerous distinctions both in Greece and internationally.He is a three-time first-prize winner of the prestigious “Skitsofreneia@Pierce” student competition, winning in the Comics category in 2020, 2021 and 2022. In 2026, he was also recognized as a former three-time winner of the competition and became involved with its organization and judging process, highlighting his continued connection to the world of illustration and comics. His international achievements include placing 4th in the Megadeth Christmas Card Contest for two consecutive years, in 2021 and 2022, competing alongside artists from around the world. He was also a winner of a school-wide Make-A-Wish art competition and achieved first place nationwide in Post Pigment's art competition, earning a scholarship for online drawing courses.Beyond competitions, Marsitopoulos has worked professionally as an artist on the tabletop game “Story of Many” and has both participated in and worked at the LA Comics Festival. His combination of traditional drawing, comics, character design and architectural studies reflects a versatile artistic approach and an ambition to develop his work on an international level.
